Rep. Alcee L. Hastings, D-Fla., has introduced to the House of Representatives a new bill, H.R. 645, calling for the secretary of homeland security to establish no fewer than six national emergency centers for corralling civilians on military installations.
The proposed bill, which has received little mainstream media attention, appears designed to create the type of detention center that those concerned about use of the military in domestic affairs fear could be used as concentration camps for political dissidents, such as occurred in Nazi Germany.
Heed the warning of a former Hitler Youth who sees America on the same path as pre-Nazi Germany in "Defeating the Totalitarian Lie" from WND Books!
The bill also appears to expand the president's emergency power, much as the executive order signed by President Bush on May 9, 2007, that as WND reported gave the president the authority to declare an emergency and take over the direction of all federal, state, local, territorial and tribal governments without even consulting Congress.
As WND also reported, DHS has awarded a $385 million contract to Houston-based KBR, Halliburton's former engineering and construction subsidiary, to build temporary detention centers on an "as-needed" basis in national emergency situations.

Oh sure, sure, of coooourse we can trust the benevolent instincts of this bill, since the wording is so benign.
Nobody would eeeever think of using these camps for anything other than housing refugees from a terrorist attack.
You said — “Saw this coming as soon as America voted to become New Zimbabwe last November. How long before the call comes for all Republicans to kindly report to the re-education ovens?”
This is for the coming major terrorist attack for one thing, and then secondly, it will also serve as a place where people could have gone to, when the New Orleans disaster happened. But, it wasn’t there at that time. Hopefully these centers will be in place and fully ready in short order.
The next major terrorist attack will most likely involve a major metro area being nuked or a biological weapon being dropped on it. The two major terrorist groups in the United States are Hezbollah and Hamas — both being funded by Iran...
I’m curious, if you were in the affected area of a terrorist attack, and the govt told you to evacuate to one of these camps, would you go?
You said — “Nobody would eeeever think of using these camps for anything other than housing refugees from a terrorist attack.”
We better have the facilities for the next major terrorist attack, which is certain to come and it will be bigger than 911 was. We have two major terrorist groups already operating in the United States, Hezbollah and Hamas, both funded by Iran, who is already calling us and Israel major enemies of the world.
We should have had these facilities in place years ago, and I don’t know why they’ve waited so long, thus far. If they had been there, it would have also solved some of the problems for the major relocation of people from New Orleans, but, of course, they are not there yet...
You can stick your head in the sand if you want, about the need for these disaster centers, but they should have been “on line” a long time ago...

From the quote — “United States is in a state of war. Undeclared Total War against the basic principles and foundations of this system.”
Yes, the United States is in a state of war — with Islam and Islamic terrorists. They are our major threat. The Hamas and Hezbollah are the two biggest terrorist groups here in the United States and they are preparing for a war. They are also funded by Iran, our enemy, who wants to do away with Israel *and* the United States. Iran has already been practicing the launching of missiles for an EMP attack over the United States. Whether they will succeed in that or not, is another matter. However, the terrorists can succeed in their attack and the next major one will be by nuke or biological weapons. The attack is *certain* according to many officials (being said for many years now, and we’ve been fortunate to avoid the major attack thus far).
I would be far more concerned about Islam, Islamic terrorist and a nuke or biological attack, than the government trying to have facilities to house people when they are refugees from such an attack...
You asked — “Im curious, if you were in the affected area of a terrorist attack, and the govt told you to evacuate to one of these camps, would you go?”
It’s the same answer you would get from those who lived in New Orleans when the hurricane hit. Would you have been one of those still sitting there? LOL...
I saw many, many people “hitting the road” when disaster came down the pike... I was relatively close by, but not in New Orleans at the time. I was in Galveston, Texas and the place was absolutely *flooded* by people from Louisiana.
I suppose we would be burying your body, instead, in New Orleans... LOL...
If these camps are for refugees of an expected terrorist attack, then the attack will be Obama’s fault. Pres. Bush and VP Cheney kept America safe from terrorists, except for the attack of Sept. 11, which they didn’t expect and probably they couldn’t prevent. There have been almost no terrorist attacks on Americans since then.
In my opinion, there’s a good chance these camps are for dissenters from the Liberal/Democrat ideology the Obama regime will be imposing on everyone. They will be reeducation and death camps. If you’re not reeducated, you will be eliminated.
Why else are they introducing this bill in less than 2 weeks since Obama’s coronation? They are getting ready to impose their hateful ideology on all Americans as soon as possible. They need to destroy American democracy before the elections of 2010, or they could find themselves without a majority in Congress.
It sounds more to me like they are gearing up for some nasty nuclear or biological attack that is in the works. Didn’t someone recently say it’s not if but when. Something is in the wind... you can just feel it.
You said — “But the terrorist attack relocation angle is explicitly stated in the text of the bill. Why do they need Sec. 2(b)(4)?”
For the same reason that a lawyer says that you should put in articles of incorporation for a business “and any other lawful business”...
You don’t have to go back and rewrite the Articles of Incorporation again, when a lawful business opportunity comes up, just because you didn’t have the foresight to “know it” ahead of time... :-)
That language is for the same purpose as the language would be for “any other lawful business” in Articles of Incorporation...

I don't know how you can say that I would be floating dead in NOLA if I were there during Katrina. I actually use situational awareness. The people who relied on the government were the ones who were dead and disadvantaged. I would have used my own initiative to get the hell out instead of waiting for a government camp to open up.
You said — “If these camps are for refugees of an expected terrorist attack, then the attack will be Obamas fault. Pres. The coming major terrorist attack is *certain* and not how much protection we provide. It’s not a matter if “if” — but only — a matter of when. So, to talk about who is responsible for a *certain attack* that will succeed — does not correlate...

You said — “In my opinion, theres a good chance these camps are for dissenters from the Liberal/Democrat ideology the Obama regime will be imposing on everyone. They will be reeducation and death camps. If youre not reeducated, you will be eliminated.”
Tinfoil and conspiracy talk is all that is. If these camps had been in place before now (and they *should have been*...), then we might have been able to use them for the New Orleans disaster. There will be another one of those, for sure — and/or the “big one” coming up in California.
All those scenarios (an *absolutely certain* terrorist attack which will succeed, a natural disaster like New Orleans, a huge earthquake in California, or a Yellowstone eruption stemming from the increase in earthquakes there, or he New Madrid earthquake zone producing another one of the *biggest earthquakes* in U.S. history, as it did before) — all that I’ve just listed — are *much more likely* than a bunch of conspiracies based on nothing but “self-induced paranoia”...

And lastly you said — “Why else are they introducing this bill in less than 2 weeks since Obamas coronation? They are getting ready to impose their hateful ideology on all Americans as soon as possible. They need to destroy American democracy before the elections of 2010, or they could find themselves without a majority in Congress.”
It should have been done during Bush’s term, but it wasn’t. So, it’s *very late* now. Better late than never....
I wouldn’t try arguing with him, he trusts the government absolutely. Either that or he just likes to troll.
You said — “I didn’t ask if you would evacuate the area, I asked if you would go to the camp. Your dodge of the question is very interesting.”
It’s just like any other disaster. The people who need government help will seek it. The people who have other means will probably use those other means. No one has mandated that anyone *has to* accept government help. If anything — people were *demanding* it — instead.
So, there’s no doubt in my mind, that there would *not be enough room* for everyone who wanted space there... They would be *turning away people* unfortunately, most likely for people who really did need the help.
Wow! that’s very good!
Those camps will be for all the people who kept reminding Obama that we weren't attacked at all under a Bush administration after 9/11, and kept asking "what changed?"

Um, I think his point was that he would fight to the death before going to one.
You said — Those camps will be for all the people who kept reminding Obama that we weren’t attacked at all under a Bush administration after 9/11, and kept asking “what changed?”

It’s going to happen no matter who is President, sooner or later. It doesn’t have to do with who is President, but it has to do with who is pulling the strings, namely Iran. They are *one* of the culprits, with others around too — all of them linked by one idealogy, the evil and false religio-governmental idealogy of Islam.
They have nothing but *death and destruction* in store for the U.S. *Those guys* are the true enemy here, the one of major proportions...

One of the “other uses” of those camps, would possibly be to keep the majority of the population of the United States from killing the rest of the Muslims, too, who are in this country, once that major attack happens on a major metropolitan area or two. The U.S. would have to put the Muslims in “protective custody” to keep them from being slaughtered...
