Good morning, Maj. Yes, they were the Ruby Red grapefruit and I was the only one who liked them at all, but even I didn't like them enough to deal with 200 of the things. And I really don't like the fruit rats who seem to love them.

Another reason I had to have JK chop it down is because it was casting too much shade on the birthday roses I planted. Now I will get more sun in that area of the yard and also have ordered a white Pope John Paul II hybrid tea that I will put in place of the grapefruit. I love white roses and have heard good things about this one. So, this summer I will have a white rose, the deep red rose and the Chicago Peace all keeping each other company. It should be a colorful area of the yard now instead of littered with dropped fruit and a fruit rat habitat. :-)

Hope you have a nice Caturday!

Oh my, drat to those rats!

I am glad The ((((...Birthday Roses...)))) will get the amount of sun they need!

And the rats won’t have the grapefruit s a food source anymore...What a scary sight they must be...& I imagine it took all the fun/apitite away for eating your grapepfruit.

Thanks for the update about the rosees & the placement of said roses, means alot too...I’m happy that the roses are still growing and beautifying Your yard...T Y for This; That & the Other...more HUGS!:)
