LJ, I know what you mean! A very close family member just thought he was the cat’s meow! I couldn’t make them see any other way. (What did he have to offer - I just didn’t get it.)
So, talking to this ‘family member’ the other day, she started complaining about how quickly he is appearing to take our country down the tubes. I stopped her, and said, “Ahem”. She said, “I know. I know. Hindsight....”
It is more than sad - it is very scary.
Life is hard enough on them, so people of lesser intelligence don’t think for themselves, they participate in Group Think. It’s easier for them to be sheeple because thinking for themselves hurts too much.
It’s hard for people like you to understand if you haven’t a lot of experience with them. Just try to imagine being confused 24/7 forever; it’s a nightmare.
Did you ask anyone why they were voting for Obama? They told me they didn’t know, that Obama was what everyone was talking about, so they’ll group think and vote for the predicted winner.
They don’t think. It is way too scary.
