I’ve gotta tell you how pretty those mountains are in that picture....wow!

Good morning, jaycee. You must be talking about this shot.

That is our mountain range, the Sierra Nevadas, to the east, where Sequoia, Kings Canyon and (further to the north) Yosemite National Parks are located, and that is the snow pack that will provide water for our agriculture here in the valley. Water is always an issue and the snow pack is vital to the survival of our farmers. We should have much more snow up there than we have but the season isn't over yet and we are hoping a few more storms will drop more snow.

In the shadows you can barely see a dairy, where those "happy California cows" live, and beyond that looks like an orchard, could be almonds. In the foreground is some kind of row crop. This one photo is a pretty good composite of what our valley is about. Dairy and agriculture framed by beautiful mountains to the east and hills and ocean to the west.

If it weren't for the liberals who have ruined this state, I could live happily here, but as it is now, all I want to do is live anywhere else. Well, maybe not anywhere else, but somewhere else. Lots of people from this area are moving to Tennessee, I've heard. You may not want them, LOL....but they're coming.

I did think those mountains were gorgeous and thank you for all the good information about them! I learned things that I was not aware of before! I could see that they had snow on them!

California is a beautiful place.....too bad ‘some’ have ruined it for all the good folks! Really sad, isn’t it?

We would welcome some to Tennessee as long as those liberal idiots don’t come here. I hope we don’t get many though. I love it the way it is right now. LOL~~~

In answer to your question about can I identify Lance Armstrong in JK’s photos? I consulted with my sil and he told me that Astana team-mates Lance and Levi are visible in pictures #43 and 44.

Levi is wearing the yellow shoes and Lance is wearing the black and yellow helmet riding beside one another.
