My Grandma fried either sausage, ham or bacon every morning for breakfast. She used lard in everything. (Best pie crust in the world, btw!) When she was 91, she cut her finger, and it needed stitches. So, my aunt took her to the doctor. He asked her, “And, when was your last physical?” She didn’t have a clue what he was talking about, as she had never stepped foot in a doctor’s office.

I have friends who eat ‘only heart healthy’ food, and they are at the doctor’s every single week with ailments and problems. The people I have seen walking around in the health food store do not appear to be the healthiest (i.e. walking zombies?) - and guess what? I have never seen a smile or heard laughter from any one of them. (I only go in there for one thing that isn’t sold anywhere else, and then exit immediately.)

We did not eat meat every morning but we ate a lot of butter, eggs, and fried foods..
I had my cheeseburger awhile ago..
I had to go to the store..I was out of chocolate..and that’s an emergency.
I have a chocolate shake in the freezer for an evening pick me up..LOL
I do try to eat fairly healthy but I always treat myself to a cheeseburger when I go big grocery shopping.
