HTML is so unforgiving.

I know, and don't we all!! One little tiny mistake and it's ALL messed up. Don't give up, jaycee, you are doing great! :-)

I need to tell you, when I was putting together a very elaborate table presentation at the Finest, early on in my learning html, I literally spent hours - way into the wee hours of the morning trying to find the errors that were causing my table borders to go all weird on me. I knew, if I just couldn't find the mistakes, I would have to send the whole mess to Billie. That would have killed me because I hate to admit defeat. Fortunately, I was able to find the problems, and there were several (center commands not closed, blockquotes not in the right place, etc.). I really was at the point of tears. Now, I can find html mistakes with my eyes closed! You will get there too, jaycee, just have patience. :-)

Learning to find the mistakes takes time and practice..This one was easy because the clue was right there..I still have to start over when my eyes glaze looking for a mistake .
If I had to do that on a large Finest opening post I would really cry! I still mess up on blockquotes in a simple post.

Yes, it is unforgiving. What threw me on that first try, when I previewed it, it didn’t have that wide width of gold on the side...it only had a small mistake at the bottom but the picture was the right size...but when it posted it had all that gold on the side. Its hard, isn’t it?

I am taking a break but I will be studying and trying all along and I told Billie maybe by summer I might be able to do something..LOL!!!!

Have to tell this...when my oldest son was in 5th, 6th grade, can’t remember exactly, he had to write an adventure story. He wrote about being down on the ground after his small plane went down. He told about getting his stuff out of the plane and trying to figure out what went wrong. In the story, he told of walking this long way and getting worn out and he said “I was too tired to shoot a flare.” I will never forget that as long as I live. I just thought it was so cute. So from now on if I say “I’m too tired to shoot a flare”, you all will know what I mean. And you all can say the same. I have a lot of tales from their childhood and isn’t it lovely to remember? Sometimes I long for them to be little again...don’t we all?
