Thanks, you too!

Yeah, my work is cut out. Will be for the next 4-5 months. :) I really enjoy helping people garden/learn to garden.

Think I’m going to get some chicks this year. Haven’t ahd any for awhile. Asked #2 to clean his/his father’s nets and coolers and junk out of my chicken coop. He rolled his eyes and said—I’d rather build you a new one! They have LOTS of fishing junk! Might try one of those smaller coops that you can move around as needed. Hmmmm.....

Are you getting the chicks for pets or for food? Just interested.

We used to get chicks for our boys and then here would come grandmother with a baby chick. We would raise them up so far and then find someone with a farm or land and unload them. We were in the city, etc. and didn’t have much choice. We also experienced the ducks too. There is nothing we won’t do when we are raising our kids, is there?

I look back though now and it was so much fun and such a happy time. Those three chickens we had at one time would roost on the fence at back. They sorta ran free in the backyard for a while and acted like they knew exactly where they belonged. The neighbors next door were older than we were at that time and I don’t think they thought it was so cute. We finally found them a home...(it was sad to see them go)!
