L.J. Yes, I am very familiar with the ‘goldfinch’. We are lucky to have these darling birds. I am thrilled when they overload my feeders! When the weather warms up, I love sitting out on the patio and enjoy their antics. I have a little work to do on my feeders right away now.

Jaycee, we have the little yellow finches that literally come in groves to our feeders in January, and in early March each year Oreo’s migrate back into our area. At least that is what a neighor once told me that they were called. Sure look similar to the Goldfinch though.. hmmmmmm....

JC and LJ - I feed approximately 200 little gold finches - and they are eating me out of house and home. (And, I love it!)

I have four of these mesh thistle socks hanging outside my kitchen window. At any given time, there are 20 to 30 birds on each one. They must be refilled with thistle seed every three days.
