Renewal
The beeches along the river flats stand tall
amid the branches the crimson cardinal calls
As the rustle of the leaves whisper of Spring
when life bursts forth to make the senses sing
Life is poised to burst forth and dress in green
a vibrant verdant cloak just waiting to be seen
As we too are poised for the rush of new life
and casting off of weary times of too much strife
To life, and to you, I wish the best of times to come
when you are filled with this richness in blessed sum
The heart’s renewal and the regeneration of the soul
the Master’s hand to touch you and leave you whole
Johnn, that is so lovely this morning! I am sure looking forward to spring and bet you are too! This has been a long and cold winter! The weatherman tells me we may get in the 60’s on Saturday....I’ll take that, after -2 yesterday morning.
