I agree with you, its a damned if you do damned if you don’t. That is why I could never be a Governor, too damn hard of a job. You have to do what’s best for your state but in the other hand, if you see something that in a bill that you don’t agree with, you take the risk of the part of the bill that you need being thrown out. It’s a no-win situation
That is what sucks about this whole thing. She got crap at home for not asking for enough, and now she gets crap nationally for supposedly supporting it.
Arnie and the greenies have ruined California. Glad I got out when I did.
The media was pissed that she would not schedule any interviews during her trip to Washington, they got what they wanted, now Sarah has to come out and set the record straight. I hope she tells them all to read the letter she sent to the Congressional Committee and to stop believing bogus crap from the AP without asking her to her FACE. Like I said earlier, I want to hear her opinion from HER, not from sources, not from friends, from Sarah Palin HERSELF. Why don’t I believe the AP story, well first of all, its the AP, they could say the sky is blue and I would have to go outside to confirm it, secondly, Sarah has made too many statements to show that she is against the bill, am I supposed to believe that 3 days ago she stood out in the cold weather talking to reporters saying she was against it then bam, goes to sleep, wakes up and says “This bill kicks ass” NO WAY
I’m assuming by your user name you live in Arizona. Are things better over there? I guess anywhere is better then California, but what choice do I have, my family is here, I was born and raised here, unless I got a kick ass job I don’t see myself leaving the state, but yeah its a shame what has happened to this state.
We are still a Republican state — no matter what the Gallup poll indicated this week. GOP Governor (now that Napolitano is gone), 2 GOP senators, majority GOP congressmen and we increased our GOP in the state senate and legilature this year. Pockets of liberals in Flagstaff, Tucson, Tempe...
I'll add that despite Sarah Palin being adamantly and unwavering pro-life, your username would more accurately reflect your agenda if it was changed to MaligningPalinComesFirst.
Your comments are reprehensible, and to be honest, ignorant. Though it's interesting to see another poster who ostensibly advocates protecting the unborn malign a lady who is a resolute defender of the unborn.
Drama queen. Shouldn't you be out recruiting more idiots to join your little party?
If Palin stepped on chewing gum and that gum stuck to the sole of her shoe that gum would still be more relevant than you.
......Otherwise, shes a RINO......
Do you know what a Rino is? Do you have a clue?
One can begin to wonder is a reactionary conservative is Republican enough to make that judgement
I'll be on pins & needles awaiting your sage reply.
Yes, it's a silly acronym (do you know what an 'acronym' is, bert?) that immature and unsophisticated people use.
Apparently no nearly so dumb as you, since you can’t grasp the difference between ‘accepting fed dollars’, as you put it, and offering even a smidgeon of support for this pork-laden, political-debt-paying, piece of legislation that is so wrongfully being called a ‘stimulus’. Thanks for stopping by to sling a personal insult though, it was very thoughtful of you.
If you think the porkulus package is going to be defeated then you are living in fantasyland. The numbers are stacked against the GOP - the best they can do is try to cut some of the pork and add some tax cuts in the Senate version. Otherwise, it’s a done deal.
Yep, many of the new trolls are using “life issues” and “tax issues” as a screen name to cover for injecting venom into our cause.
We saw one get zapped on Friday. They are very crafty.
I laugh at them because they think conservatives only have two issues they care about. Abortion and taxes.
They have yet to figure out that we can walk and chew gum at the same time.
You should read Thomas Sowell’s latest, then come back and tell the class how much we should be loving this ‘stimulus’ package. If you’ve already read the book and are still going around attacking the folks who are speaking against the bill, you’ve stumbled into the wrong forum. Good day.
Thank you for illustrating once again how degraded the Republican Party is. I simply asked for the Constitutional authorization for the expenditure of this huge amount of money.
Now, an honest republican (small r) who admires Palin could have tried to answer my question on a constitutional basis and had an honest discussion about it. After all, the Constitution clearly authorizes the expenditure of monies on certain infrastructure needs for the country.
But what did you do? You did what any good DUmmy would do: Launched into a specious personal attack on decent patriotic Americans...folks who care deeply about the survival of our free republic under our Constitution.
Such is the state of the formerly grand old party, and unfortunately to a large degree, much of FReeperdom. Politics has been reduced to the level of James Carville and Paul Begala.
In honor of your comment I’ve upgraded my tagline.
I’ll be happy to talk to you about two hundred year old questions of compliance with the Constitution when I see some evidence that you care about compliance with it today. I’m not interested in your red herring argumentation.
