Hubby isn't a freeper yet, just a lurker. Gotta light a fire under him! At least he comes to get me when something comes up.
Is there a way to block google?
I'm removing any google reference from his favs. It may be painful for him but he'll survive lol.

The ONLY thing I like about Google is ‘image search’. Is there another way to search for funny, political ‘shoops’ or cartoons in a large database?

Thank you! I had Freerepublic as our home page but switched it to Altavista. All his search queries are there too. Problem solved!
Adios Google!!

Yes ! Me too .
I was surfing from here(mumbai city) for the recipie of a masala soda drink and when the search reults showed up there was a warning under each one the results .I got freaks out and did not open any site .

Ok I will stop using Google but tell me who our friends are .
Anything other than Altavista ?
To: Indian_Fighter_Kite
Well, I think altavista is the best, but there is also yahoo, lycos, ask (formerly ask jeeves)... and a whole bunch more.
Good luck and down with Google!!

I’d recomend using Altavista for search (I have, I’m trying to avoid google too). You should get rid of all the Google cookies, but google advertising (or adware) is on almost every site (it’s those banner ad’s) so unless you block adware cookies...
