Reminds me of when my wife suggested we take the kids to the Minnesota Zoo in mid-January one year when it was 9
o outside.
Nobody was there, and the animals were much less timid than normal. A moose came up to the fence and we got to stroke its snout as it ate twigs -- a moose's breath is surprisingly warm when it is in the single digits outside.
The most fascinating part was the Siberian Tigers -- they were romping and running around in the snow like kittens -- until they saw us.
They walked to the far edge of the water moat, and sat down, never taking their eyes off of us.
It was clear that they were trying to find a way to reach us so that they could invite us to lunch.
"Pleased to eat you!"
Cheers!

I totally love cats. That's the maddest one I have ever seen.
My first one was just like that and named for the local hard ware store, back in 1952.
His name was “Haney Hardware Store”, that was in Northridge, CA.

OK, I’ll bite. WHY was he named after the hardware store?
I’m more of a dog person, but my cats have been Patches, Crybaby, Luna, Mouse, Merlin & Pearl.

I don't know the outcome but when I saw that face, as a cat lover, I saved it immediately. Here are some of my other favorite animal pictures, some by me and some by others.

My favorite picture from this past summer in Yellowstone.

First, I was five years old. Like my local Hardware Store, here on Grosse Ile, MI, I know it is a Saturday when I'm in the store more than twice. We were building a house in Northridge, CA, at least my folks were, and Haney's was a regular trip to get more stuff. My other cat was a little beauty of a striped gray tiger but a Max, and his name was "Han Not". Not bad for a five year old, IMHO.
As Paul Harvey would say, "And now you have the rest of the story."
Enjoy you day...

It sure is. I love the line of dogs in the snow. I call it the Budweiser Lite Team.
A pal has one in CA and won the National Obedience in Scottsdale a year ago. His name is Sir Cooper. He's a tricolor, too.
