Cigarettes went up 80cents in mid March. They started collecting the tax early. I’m down to 4 cigarettes a day. Everyone is still alive.
I sympathize. I remember when my mother quit smoking (and then started again, and then quit again, etc.). It’s very difficult for some people. Cigarettes were cheaper then, of course.
She’s always said she’s going to start smoking again when she’s diagnosed with whatever’s going to kill her, but if the taxes are too high, she might not.
