Hi 'Face, all...
Back sooner than I expected. I passed my professional accreditation test this morning, an hour earlier than anticipated (I started a half-hour early), but then I had to wend my way back to the office through rain&snow and many traffic snarls.

I always finished tests early. If I wasn’t intimidated, being done early was a good sign.
Too bad about the rain and snow, though.

The rain and snow wasn’t bad. But there were snarls everywhere. One big one on the freeway route I intended to take, so I got off to take a back route, but that one was blocked by police under the freeway, so it was other back roads all the way in.

The good thing about living in an area for a long time...you always know of ways to get around obstacles.

This was a difficult test, as I had been warned. Only half the takers (first-time) pass the test. The coming 2009 tests are supposed to be worse, with less than a third passing -- and twice the cost, twice the time (two tests) AND you have to re-take every couple of years. So i really wanted to pass this one.
But with the intensive two weeks' of class, preparation and study behind, I can resume normal work. Once I remember what I'm to be doing. *\;-)

Afternoon! Wednesday says Hi. She doesn’t like Thursday because the Scout meetings interfere with naps.

Everything has interfered with my naps for at least a year. I can’t decide if that’s a good thing or not.
In the mean time, tell Wednesday it only happens once a week!

Other things interfere with naps on other days. However, tomorrow I plan that we’ll go to the library early and then have everyone taking naps at the appropriate hour!

LOL! Naps are Required for Mothers-to-Be. Long is best, but short helps.
Tomorrow, I'm going to spend as much time as necessary composing a letter for a fight that has been brewing for ten years. I'm hoping I'm up to the composing part.
Luckily for me, I have a brother who is an editor, so he can tell me all I need to know in the art of improving the written word. If he can't, I'll be picking your brain!

Naps are Required for Mothers-to-Be.That's certainly my view!
Let me know if you need help with your composition. I took Effective Communication Techniques at my former place of employment.

I figured, as a home-school mother, that you would know what goes where and when. Although, normally, my composition is excellent, I’ve learned that CFIDS is more insidious in adverse proportion to the importance of the document I need to produce.
And besides: I trust you!

You can at least trust me to say, “This is the best I can do,” if that’s the case. I did, after all, prevent my dad’s dangling modifiers from getting the East Coast nuked, back in the 80’s ;-).

Like I said: I trust you!
I know you would not hesitate to tell my where my mistakes are, and that’s what I need.
Your dad’s dangling modifiers were modified by his exceptionally intelligently modified offspring! *salute*

My Dad was extremely good at personnel management and materiel logistics - that is, people wanted to please him, and he got the stuff where it was supposed to be, on time - but he never had a gift for language use. Some of us, such as Constitution Day and me, see grammar errors leaping out in bright red fireworks. Others wouldn’t notice that the panda eats, shoots, and leaves until they were dead and buried.
I don’t know how many times I tried to teach him to say “Please give me two beers” in French, Spanish, and Japanese. The only time he ever mastered the sentence was Italian.

When I was in my late 30’s, I thought it would be good to take some English classes at the local college. After testing, I was told that the only class I was qualified for was a Graduate Course.
*sigh*
It was a good try, anyway.
