I’m getting ready to send you a private message. Last time I did that, you were too busy or too away to respond to it.
So I’m telling you publicly that you will have a message privately.
Clear?

Finlandia is one of my favorite hymn tunes.
Be still, my soul: the Lord is on thy side.
Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain.
Leave to thy God to order and provide;
In every change, He faithful will remain.
Be still, my soul: thy best, thy heavenly Friend
Through thorny ways leads to a joyful end.
Be still, my soul: thy God doth undertake
To guide the future, as He has the past.
Thy hope, thy confidence let nothing shake;
All now mysterious shall be bright at last.
Be still, my soul: the waves and winds still know
His voice Who ruled them while He dwelt below.
Be still, my soul: when dearest friends depart,
And all is darkened in the vale of tears,
Then shalt thou better know His love, His heart,
Who comes to soothe thy sorrow and thy fears.
Be still, my soul: thy Jesus can repay
From His own fullness all He takes away.
Be still, my soul: the hour is hastening on
When we shall be forever with the Lord.
When disappointment, grief and fear are gone,
Sorrow forgot, loves purest joys restored.
Be still, my soul: when change and tears are past
All safe and blessèd we shall meet at last.
Be still, my soul: begin the song of praise
On earth, believing, to Thy Lord on high;
Acknowledge Him in all thy words and ways,
So shall He view thee with a well pleased eye.
Be still, my soul: the Sun of life divine
Through passing clouds shall but more brightly shine.

Very nice!
Some of us in our parish are reading A 40-Day Journey with Julian of Norwich for Lent. It fits well with "Finlandia."

I don’t think I would dare listen to that, well-sung, without a handkerchief available.

I was thinking about high church music which lead to the thought, What would high gospel be like? Is there high folk music? Then I pictured Boxcar Willie and Woody Guthrie singing. The song was "This train is bound for glory". They were standing tall and straight on a flatbed rail car with audience of hobos.

It’s a fine vision.
Surprisingly, such a simple thing can give strength and purpose for one’s whole life.
It is often called an epiphany.

I love Finlandia. We played it last year for our spring concert. It has some marvelous oboe lines!

We had sleet and snow over night, and decided not to get up this morning, until the dog and the baby insisted.
How are you today?
There was 10 inches of stow a couple days ago, all rainy/sloppy and very little snow now.
Aside from the fact that a 1 second power outage took down the server I was setting up, the day went pretty well. (busy, as usual)
Of course, the main server that I
wasn't working on stayed on. (because its got a UPS)
Oh well, time to set up a UPS for the new server.
I wish the poster of this thread was still around.
After the less than warm welcome he received, he hasn't posted since :-(

In light of the original question, the answer might be neither single phase nor multiple phase, but DC.
And we liked it!
LoL!

I suppose they had to traverse both sides of a voltage regulator module in the snow, uphill, both ways...

Mwuhahaha....
Back in the day when transistors needed a vacuum around them to work...
Back when a relay circuit actually contained mechanical relays...
Back when a computer "bug" was a moth getting stuck in one of the aforementioned relays...
