Huh...

Could be why a refresh showed 2500... But not 2501 and 2502 until AFTER I posted.

Oh well... New Thread coming up. Been a couple of options on that lately.

"NnBob has outfitted it with some new technologies that allow us to pack a lot more into its existing space without adding mass "

The key to folding matter can be found on your bookshelf.

Each book holds within itself spaces, rooms, worlds without end. All we have to do is replicate that function.

You may think that is no easy trick, but we know it can be done. We have had a recent expert demonstrate how easily matter can be made to disappear (without the normal powerful release of energy).

ThomasThomas misplaced a bag of hardware. He searched endlessly for it, but it was nowhere to be found. He'll tell you.

That's part of the technique. But it's more than just opening the hamper dimensional door and feeding it a sock. Eliminating things won't help us if we want to be able to get them back.

Now, every book of magic or fantasy, from Harry Potter to Heinlein's "Glory Road", has space available to store things, that does not add to the mass of the storage device.

Many will say this is physically impossible, but they are simply not thinking in enough dimensions.

I’m the Virginia State Spelling Champion of 1984 and a national English award winner. If you want some grammar, FReepmail. (I’ll subcontract to a kid first, but final review my ownself.)

We’ve been watching the first season of “Nash Bridges” with Anoreth and Bill, but now it’s time for bed. See y’all tomorrow.

No telling, but I’ll find out before I cook something everyone hates! I’ll take Tom with me, and he can clean their bathrooms. (I’m on “restricted activity.”) My best friend back in Oklahoma had “hyperemesis gravidarium,” throwing up everything but your toenails while pregnant, and the homeschool association did a lot of meals and housework!

Maybe this is the solution for nuclear waste discussed in another thread. But I think we need to look to the French for the answer for this problem. It also the reason that they make so many great sauces. I almost forgot the the mustard. Witch leads us to the question. Why is there only one way to spell mustard?

The solution for nuclear waste is to stop thinking of it as waste.

Just as we realized it was easier to recover materials from municipal rubbish bins than to manufacture them from virgin materials, plastic, aluminum, and steel being the primary materials treated in this way, it is also possible to recycle nuclear materials.

If the material is radioactive, then it contains energy. We need energy. The challenge is to separate the energy from the radiation. That, by the way, is the same challenge we face with solar energy.

Nuclear waste could be separated into the most energetic versus the least energetic piles. Used reactor rods are energetic. Discarded rubber gloves are not. Some materials could be incinerated in a closed system to recapture all the gases driven off. The water could be separated into pure hydrogen water and heavy water, hopefully.

Similar treatment could be accorded all the material. Once you’ve got a dry mix of ash that becomes difficult to treat further, encapsulate it with glass to form small pellets. Place a pile of these pellets together and pass a gas such as carbon dioxide over them to absorb their heat. Use that heat to turn water into steam, and use the steam to make electricity.

In other words, don’t look upon it as nuclear waste but as another source of nuclear energy. If dilute sources of energy such as solar can be made useful, then more concentrated sources of energy can also be useful.

If it weren’t concentrated, it wouldn’t be considered dangerous.

Don’t let the people who want to keep us in the dark ages win simply by using scary words.

"Why is there only one way to spell mustard?"

There are other languages to spell it in.

We could spell it “muzterd,” but that doesn’t look very elegant.
