My aversion is less complex. I just can't stand the sound of the word edelweiss and I can't stand leiderhausen. Leiderhausen must be the most hideous garment ever made and worn by man. I don't know why I feel that way but it goes back to my childhood too.

Just to rub that in there is a tourist clothing store here called Edelweiss Haus that has several pairs of leiderhausen in the windows. After decades I think they finally sold out and there's a new store now.
