Agree about the rocks. I’m not sure about the Mayor. I don’t think that’s what the Mayor means. I think what he means to saw is that using military weapons in an American city is incongruous: they should not belong, they don’t fit, and there should be no need for their use downtown.”
I don’t think anyone would disagree with that.
Problem is where the Mayor’s observation is going to logically lead as a conclusion; “these weapons should be banned.”
I don’t think anyone would agree with that — at least not on the FRee Republic. It is the wrong conclusion. But it does raise an interesting question:
“What is the right conclusion?”
