I have both XP/SP2 on my desktop, and Vista on my laptop. Only one of the XP updates blew me away early last year, and that was because of ZASS; all of the others were seamless. The three updates for Vista have blown out every time, requiring me to go in and reset all my pointers and links to my home network. Vista plain sucks!

The stress isn't too bad inside my little padded room!       ;^)

Yes! I love the XP. But she’s a bit old. I love new technology and was excited about this VISTA, I know, I know. EVERYBODY had a problem.
But I thought if I was smart....wellll you know.

I just though the kinks were worked out by the time I got my VISTA Laptop.
But when she crashed because of the update, I took it off automatic.

I will very gingerly check the updates with online folks before I let that thing do it’s OWN thing, again.
It cost me $115.00, all total to have Vista set right.

And hey.....my padded room has windows! ;-)
