Im in the mortgage business.

Your statement is very accurate. There are a lot of people who can afford their mortgage payments, but are just giving up paying because they are sick and tired of all the bailouts.

This is the problem the government created by continuosly helping some people who shouldnt be helped.

The small business owners are giving up too in big numbers, because they are tired of working hard to support “low income” people who sit on their duffs and mooch.

That's absurd. No one is curtailing mortgage payments because they are sick of the bailouts. They are quitting because their house is worth far less than what they owe.

Heck, a local mortgage broker explained it this way. The house is now worth less than the mortgage. You can choose to continue making payments or just walk away. Think of it as being like "renting". Welcome to the new reality.

That's the real 'moral hazard' about the 'bailout' (greatest theft in history) that no one is talking about.

If people who made bad business decisions are going to be bailed out with _my money_ because of corrupt deals with government officials, why should I play by the rules? Why should I keep paying my debts or bother to pay my taxes? Why not cheat like heck?

Wait until after April 15th when the government finds out tax revenues are down billions, millions haven't filed and refunds are up billions and billions.
