I prefer bourbons but I do have a dumb question. Are all Scotch whiskeys made in Scotland? Is the term Scotch used to define a style or where it is made?

All Scotch whiskeys are from scotland.

That said, they do have a common style, much like all Bourbon whiskeys are from Kentucky — and have a common style.

Bourbon choice is Knob Creek.

Once when I was in Mexico, I was in a liquor store looking vor a bottle of good tequila to take north of the border, when a bottle of scotch caught my eye. I don't recall the brand, but it sounded authentically Scottish--Highland Bagpipe, or something like that. However, on the label were the words--in small print--"hecho en México."

Are all Scotch whiskeys made in Scotland. If whisky is spelled with an e it ain’t from Scotland.

Whisky is made all over the world. Scotch whisky is a single malt distillation.
