Copying & pasting an UPDATE on Candoo from our club president:

<< Candoo returned to his foster home this morning . He is very thin! His ribs can be seen poking out of his sides. He has gobs and gobs of medication to take and a special bland food to be on. He has been diagnosed with a severe gastro-intestinal virus, bleeding ulcer and borderline anemia. To date his bill runs over $2500 and he still has at least two surgeries ahead of him (amputation and neuter). But, he is out of the hospital for weekend and seems to be pretty happy. We’ve been here before with him but we all hope this is the healthy turning point for him. >>

Thank you so much to all of you for your prayers - I seriously believe that made a huge difference in Candoo’s recovery. If you wouldn’t mind, please keep him in your thoughts & prayers if you could as he continues to fight to recover...

It always amazes me how resilient dogs are. They can be in the worst shape, and just keep on keepin’ on. Still able to be happy and wag a tail.

Thank you for the ping. I'll be interested to see how Candoo does. If I were a betting person (which I am), I'd bet he recovers.
