Our new Shepherd could be a clone of the one in your photo. We’ve had German Shepherds here on the farm for over 30 years. All of them were natural guards, pity the fools that ever break into our house-the dogs have no interest in taking prisoners.

I had one, that used to beat the ladies legs black and blue with his tail. He was a really happy dog, especially in the kitchen.
Also had one that was half German Shepperd. Smart dog.

Would you stop already? Now you make me want a puppy with little puppy breath and little puppy grunts. (And puppy poops, and puppy uh-oh’s!) :-)

Oh, why did you have to post that? I got a poodle in the fall and will never let anyone do that to him. He’s called a parti-poodle, and is multi color. Brown, white, and black. Just the cutest thing. And NO, repeat, NO shedding. That makes him #1 to me.

Big tail waggers they are. As far as being smart goes, Shadow picks up and carries his bowl in his mouth. Picture Snoopy with his bowl and replace him with a black Lab lol. At EXACTLY dinner time every night he picks it up and starts whining and walking back and forth between myself and the kitchen. It's like clockwork.
I also taught him how to “roll over” for a biscuit in a single evening. The kids love that trick and think it's hilarious.

My blonde cocker was sired by my dog who disappeared right after he got the cocker down the street knocked up. We figgured he wanted out of puppy support. Black mama, black daddy, she is pure blonde and very smart.
My "little black boy" was adopted from the cocker rescue. He is very needy and clingy. He was around 2 years old when I got him and he doesn't have nearly the smarts, tricks or vocabulary that my other cocker does that was raised from a baby. I understand what you are saying about the breeding practices just from the little guy I adopted, who was rescued from a puppy mill. He's a sweet little guy and he loves his mommy and cries if I leave.
Cockers are an excellent, loyal breed. Labs, too, are among the best breeds, from my own experience.

That’s it, you’re on restriction. Looking for that “block” thingy on FR. Ok maybe there’s not one. When they get one, you’re on restriction. :-))
