They are, but as my father used to say, “If you're in showbiz, you're IN showbiz.” In other words, certain positions in life require certain attire. The dress might have passed with a pump (shoe) and a shawl, sweater or shrug. It was the accessories in this instance, regardless of liking or disliking the material. Even a hat would have made it work.
