You know, Princess Diana was also a very tall woman, and somehow always managed to look stylish.

Maybe she could look at some of the looks that worked for the Princess.

Not EVERYthing worked for Her Highness. She got some really clownish outfits to wear from time to time. However, her evening gowns, cocktail dresses and power suits were almost all gorgeous in design, material and the way she carried herself. I, for one, thought her wedding gown was ridiculously flouncy and the neckline for someone so thin made it hang like a horse collar around her shoulders.

Not everyone who is tall has arms like an orangutan or shoulders like Dick Butkis in pads. Some of us were actually 6’ and 135 lbs or less, and it's the carriage that will ultimately prove her success or failure.

Not a chance. Michelle Obama's primary fashion difficulty is her very broad shoulders. She's got an amazon build. There's just no way she'll ever achieve a "feminine" look.

I was only half kidding when I said above that she'd look great in armor: she probably would, just as Venus and Serena Williams would.

There are probably a lot of designers out there who can make amazons look good. Unfortunately for her, the ones who can, are probably not politically connected or "Hollywood" enough to get the nod.

That's her main problem, in fact: there are such intense political overtones in everything related to Obama, that it's just not possible to go for the fashion unknowns who could make her look good. It's more important politically to drape her in big-name designs.

Princess Di wasn’t a two-tripper in the hauling @ss department. It must be a tough job trying to dress MO.
