I had LAP Band surgery about a year ago.My doctor convinced me that I was addicted to carbs and that the band was only a tool. He was absolutely correct.

I eat NO bread,pasta,rice or potatoes. I have gone from 340 lbs to 250 pounds in that year. My diabetes is in remission or cured depending how you look at it. I no longer require the drug Lopressor for high BP.My sleep apnea is cured,no more damn CPAP machine.

My lifelong addiction to carbs is treated the same way any addiction is treated...you stop doing them!At age 70 this year I feel I'm getting younger every day. I limit my carbs to veggie carbs and am more fit and active than I've been in ten years. Life is good.

Carbs are the enemy.
