To: Ancient Drive

TV is like a monkey on your back. You don’t realize how it (and the media) controls your life until you turn it off.

We cut our cable in 2000 and watch DVD’s of our choosing. Also have more time to read, view news on the internet and actually enjoy/participate in life (rather than watch someone else live theirs).

and there well may be a lot of illegal-be-damned subliminal hanky-panky going on for the duration...

I get what news I want on the net...saves time and sanity.

And now that I can get 24 on the net only one day after it airs on TV - I may not turn my TV on again.

Actually, I think TV, as we know it, will be nonexistent in the next decade.

We CAN get most everything on-line - and it's increasing.

Less people reading the newspapers today - less people watching TV tomorrow?

What WILL Katie do???
