See my tagline. ;-)
My sympathy and prayers to you...:(
Cancelled my cable 6 weeks ago. Mainly did it for the expense, but there are many other benefits as well.
I'm amazed it hasn't been declared a National Holiday and all of us plebeians ordered to watch...
I've always liked the way you think ;) I, however, DID turn the news on for a day when the fighting started in Gaza.
No news programs since Friday. Only sports and football over the weekend. It’s out of control. ONLY news program I’ll watch is Glenn Beck today at 5pm ET for Sarah. Working tomorrow, will only look at Freep, HotAir, etc off and on through out the day.
Tomorrow night, spend time with kids, watch lots of classic TV DVDs and Fringe returns to FOX at 9ET!!!
I'm pretty OK with where I am at the moment.
Much less exposure to that giant orgy going on back home..
I am watching 1 show and the rest is DVD’s. I can’t take it...not even going to listen to talk radio which I do all day.
It’s definitely overkill. McCain got almost 50 million votes so there are a lot of us out here. It will be interesting to see what the ratings will be like if millions of us tune out. I think Fox News will have especially low ratings.
I’ll watch 24 tonight.
As a teacher, I’ll have my kids watch the oath of office portion of the day. It’s historic. It only happens every four years.
I’ll listen to Obama’s speech via Rush 24/7 so I can enjoy Rush’s live commentary.
I remember listening (or trying to listen) to Clinton’s inaugural speech. I was in my car turning it on and off. When Maya Angelou started with her “...river, rock and the tree”, I thought, “What the *ell does that mean.” It was downhill from there.
Best to watch something, anything, other than the coronation. If one were to watch nothing then it improves the relative ratings of coronation coverage (DirecTV monitors viewing patterns). I won’t be home, but I will leave the TV on (for the dogs) and let them watch non-coronation coverage.
Major Botox action in her mug.
I’m going to be on Free Republic tomorrow with my fellow patriotic conservatives.
That is, if the hackers don’t shut it down again...
Way ahead of you pal...
I dont have cable and I do not regret that one bit!!!!!
TV observance will be monitored, noted and a list shall be made of all you unpatriotic plebeians that do not watch the King at his coronation - you have been warned.
I’m glad someone posted this. Thankfully, I have a job that doesn’t have TV’s, so tomorrow will be another good day of work. I watched 2 football games this weekend then it got turned off. Listened to Rush this a.m., but I frankly cannot watch any of this party/blathering, didn’t even watch Fox over the weekend either. I haven’t seen this much fawning over somebody since Elvis Presley died. I also can proudly state that I didn’t even know there was a ‘concert on the mall’ until I heard it on the radio this a.m. LOL
That’s good. But no TV or radio. So guess it’s curl up with a good book. A mystery of some kind ... no politics.
I will not watch anything having to do with the inaugration. My wife’s grandmother asked us if we were watching, my wife is not into politics (at least she isnt liberal) gm then said its history in the making. I said, I’d soon forget it.
Knowing a POTUS usurper will be in office makes me sick.
We will indeed be in a Constitutional crisis from tomorrow on.
I just pray that one of the lawsuits out there will eventually compel the truth to come out, and that his time as usurper will be short lived until he's removed from office.
