I have always wanted someone to ask James Brady if he could have shot back at Hinckley if he had a pistol. He’d be an idiot to say no. Of course any rational person would. Because his whole experience was what happens to citizens who don’t have a gun but are confronted with someone who wants to just take out people with a firearm, nad you’re caught there unarmed, expecting it won’t happen, or expecting others to protect you.
James Brady IS the reason you want to be armed. You don’t want to end up like him. We gotta start making the case and using their own icons against them.
The reason I carry is because I don’t want to end up like James Brady - a victim and a statistic. Secret Service couldn’t protect him, or Reagan for that matter. Couldn’t protect himself unarmed.
