Very nice.
I use IE 7 up to date!
I’ve used Brownell’s extensively in past years, when I was in the gunsmithing bidness. They’re about the best outfit to work with on a dealer basis, although not the least expensive by any stretch.
This is a neat tool, but I’ll hang on to my Bushmasters; I’m real comfortable clinging to them...
The biggest challenge facing “Black Rifle” owners?
RESTRAINT.
The frankenguns I’ve seen lately would make your head spin.
Just because CAA/Tapco makes an accessory for your rifle, doesn’t mean you HAVE to install it.

Thanks. Perfect post since I am looking to get something that fires the .556 round.

Ok. I’ve been dying to ask this question, and it’s not entirely off-topic so here goes. What is the attraction for folks buying out shelf loads of AR-15 since the election?
No, really. I’ve stocked up on ammo and added a few shotguns to my repertoire but why the AR-15?
It’s either gotta be as an investment or a SHTF type purchase. If the latter, I can think of much cheaper rifles that would fit the bill. If the former, well, I don’t know if I’d be buying investment grade pieces right now. But that’s just me :-)
I built a 105 Howitzer but it was too expensive. Shipping alone was 6k.
That 224 is great if one wants to hunt Dachsunds.
They have a nice video series on assembling the ar15 from parts kits. Very well done.
All you ever wanted to know about the AR15 and AK47's.
ping for later when not on my sucky work computer.
I never have put the figures down on paper but it has always struck me that it is more expensive to put together a parts gun that just buying a complete rifle.
I did once make a Frankenstein .45 auto only because I got a nice series 70 Colt frame in a trade. After I got through it turned out to be one of the better 1911s I have owned which surprised me a bit.
They really are one of the easiest pistols to detail strip. Fortunately mine already had the ejector and the safety/slide stop plunger staked in.
