Another poster (youturn,#18) mentioned a website called www.keepvid.com .
It’s able to sort through the garble of Flash player video sites like YouTube.com . I think MetaCafe.com, as well. It will then give you a link that you can download the FLV flash video file directly.
A decent freeware stand-alone program for viewing FLV files can be found here:

But you can use a search engine to find many more.
