Once Merlin Olsen of the Rams met Conrad Dobler's father at a game. Merlin told him there were no hard feelings after a cheap shot he got from Conrad, they even shook hands.

Mr. Dobler said, "count your fingers."

I admire tough players. Players that hit, runners that crush.

Many moons ago I recall watching Jim Taylor of the Packers running for a touchdown in an open field.
One defensive back between him and the goal.
Instead of trying to evade the back he put out his forearm and ran over the guy.

He didn’t like hangers on after he was tackled either. Tackle him and let go or he’d get up swinging.

He was tough. Czonka also.
