Bah. Any 2nd-year chemist knows or can learn how to distill oleoresin capsicum into a 1,000,000+ Scoville unit substance. Trivial, and boring (and useless for cooking, too).

The jolokia is naturally wicked, VERY freakin' wicked. Different estimates of 'hotness' for it, but in mineral-rich soil a jolokia should probably come out around 1.1/1.3 million Scoville.

Before its introduction, so to speak, to the world at large, it was (may still be, for all of me) used as an ordeal drug for certain religious sects.
