My bash of Windows is like a popcorn fart in a hurricane.
But, like it, it still stinks.

Before you think the thread creator is objective on the matter, take a look at the keywords he put in.

Really? That's not the case on my computer.
I'm triplebooting Windows XP, Linux (Kubuntu 8.10) and Windows 7.
Windows Update found the driver for my NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 just fine.

I think someone will come up with a hack to kill the deactivation date. You can run it forever.

Really?
I’ve tried every driver there is and nothing works.
And the websites I’ve found state that NVIDIA won’t have drivers available for anything less than a GeForce 6,7,8..etc.
Windows knows what card I’ve got, but their is no update for it apparently..
Oh, well... It’s going dead in August anyway....(Windows 7 that is)

I know this is an old thread..but I got drivers to work in Windows 7 for the Geforce MX 4000.
I used the ‘XP’ drivers and after a couple of tries, it worked...
It booted up in 640x480 mode and wouldn’t let me change resolutions by right clicking on the desktop.
So I went into ‘properties’ and selected 1024x768 32bit from the ‘modes’ list and it set the resolution correctly.
Now I need to get opengl working....
