Which came first, “the Prisoner” or the “Avengers?”

Neither. This did.

I always viewed The Prisoner as a sort of sequel to Secret Agent. He was so suave he made 007 look like a cretin.

Dang it, my all time favorite series and actor. I just watched all the dvd’s last month as I was recuperating from knee surgery. The dvd set is great, lots of interesting bonus stuff. I never knew Patrick was originally asked to be 007 and he turned them doen, they went with Sean Connery instead. He was an extremely gifted writer director and actor ans way ahead of his time. May he rest in peace.

Ok, was this the show that had like a spinning wheel or something at the beginning or end of the show?

Yes, the wheel turns out to be the front wheel of an old fashioned two wheel bicycle, with a tiny back wheel and also a sunshade.

With all his scheming and lying, don't you think that Longshanks would fit right in the the Democratic Congress?

He was great in The Three Lives of Thomasina and Dr. Syn: The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh, too.

GMTA. Silver Streak is one of the most underrated movies of the 70s. Wilder and Pryor were pure gold.

They were also a great duo in Stir Crazy. "Yea, that's right! That's right! We bad!"

Wasn’t The Avengers start Patrick McNee?

I love the Emma Peel era. We watch them all the time.

I loved the way he threw his delicate son's boyfriend out the window.

” Try to imagine the effect on a horny teenage boy of Rigg in a leather catsuit. Yow-ZUH! “

Don’t have to try - I was 13 in 1965 and watched the show religiously . Was so disappointed when she left and Linda Thorson took over her role . To this day I have a thing for women in leather . ; )

Just last night I was watching Danger Man on YouTube.

Here’s an interview where he talks about The Prisoner:
