10% of gun owners is still between 8 and 10 MILLION folks. Most of 'em former LEO or Military. Most of 'em armed with more than just .22LR or .38 Specials.

Where did you get that 8% figure? Most sources I have seen have stated that at least a third supported it, with the rest either supporting the crown or remaining neutral...
But again, you are assuming that they are all going to be on your side. Its pretty much inevitable that there are going to be large swathes of the population who don’t support you and would sign up to fight you if it came to it. That is the nature of any civil war, you will be forced to face the loyalist militias in addition to government forces....
