If you choose to believe in a god that purposefully deceives people about the natural world, that is your business. Again, however, so long as you don't pretend that such a belief is based on observation or the scientific process, and don't pretend that such a belief belongs anywhere in the pubic classroom, we have no conflict.
Public classrooms don’t belong anywhere, but that’s another issue. The young earth position actually has much better standing because there are people who have written about it saying God told them how it happened. You could call them liars, as you have, but that doesn’t mean they’re liars. Your position has nothing to go off except some rock in a lab that magically tell you how old they are. I don’t know, has Shirley McClain written any books about the age of the earth?
