A dozen casesaacross the country for a whole year is an epidemic? Seriously? Not saying it makes it right, but it’s hardly an epidemic.
You think the number is any different than two decades ago? I doubt it.
To be perfectly honest, in today's society, I'd prefer that 16 year old boys have sex with their female teachers rather than have sex with their 16 year old female classmates.
I consider the latter to be a much deeper "tragedy" than the former although current American society takes the latter for granted.
