Don't know if this is the same guy, but another amazing painting, a tribute to the FDNY firefighters:

I turned the music off...but that (In Christ Alone) is one of my favorite “hymns.” It’s just the woman singing it wasn’t that good, or the sound was not balanced, I really don’t know. Here’s a youtube recording of the song being sung as it should be:

O,shoot! I’ve watched it four or five times now and I still can’t see what the painting is supposed to be.

I started to view it this a.m., got distracted, and just came back to it right now. Wow - the ending is certainly a surprise. Thanks for posting - that’s a keeper!

Just pause at the end to reflect on it.

If you have a laptop, lay the screen completely flat on the floor and walk around it for a different perspective.

I realize now that I was not even getting the end that you all saw. But THIS TIME it worked, and yes, it IS a beautiful picture.

I’m happy to know that I’m not going blind. LOL!

Thank you all for replying to me.

Oh, you’re up in the middle of the night, too, huh? I’m in the east, and it’s 4:30 here, and I can’t sleep. Drat!

Yes. I’m a night owl by nature although my body and mind do much better if I make myself do a more normal routine. I was in that routine for several months, then blew it over the kids’ Christmas break. I’m going to pay for it tomorr—I mean today :) Sorry about your insomnia.

I saw an artist like that at Auburn some 20 years ago. He did not do a painting of Christ but it was something similar as this ending. Very cool.
