Thats been the speculation in Radio-Infos T-R-I newsletter that it would be a joint project, and today CBS and Dial Global confirm that its first affiliate will be in market #1. Thats Buckley-owned WOR, New York (710), which has already been revamping its lineup with the departure of Bill O'Reilly. Philadelphia-based lawyer Smerconish began doing mornings (6-9am) on CBS-owned Big Talker 1210 WPHT in 2003 and recently has been simulcasting that show on sister WHFS (1580) in Washington, D.C.
But this new show with CBS and Dial Global is completely separate from the WPHT/WHFS morning show a live noon-2pm program that debuts on February 2. (Though WOR, New York will carry it on a delayed basis, from 8-10pm.) Dial Global co-President David Landau says We are thrilled to partner with Michael and CBS Radio and expand his program nationally. While Dial Global Senior VP of News and Talk Amy Bolton says listeners are looking for a fresh and unpredictable talent who sees the issues from all sides and in fact, Smerconish made waves last Fall by endorsing Barack Obama.
the current WOR lineup is John Gambling 5:30-9 am, Glenn
Beck at 9, Joan Hamburg at 11 am, Dr Joy Browne 1-2 pm,Lou
Dobbs 2-4 pm, Steve Malzburg 4-6 pm, Savage 6-8 pm,
Bill O’Reilly (ending his show soon) 8-10, where Smerconish
will go “tape delayed) etc
Talk radio gets less, and less relevant.
Who will listen to ANOTHER Hussein worshiper?
They are on TV 24/7.
What in the hell can he add?
definitely not the “A” team
Another fake independent with an Obama mancrush.
Smerconish has always been a true moderate.
I believe his endorsement of Obama was meant to give him cover when criticizing the annointed one.
You see, people like this can’t criticize a black man unless they supported him first.
I’m glad to see his endorsement of Lord Obama is paying off.
Please flood any "conservative" station that picks this moron up with calls and emails letting them know you will not listen to this liberal d-bag.
Malzberg is the best of the best on the radio these days.
There are some great programs up the dial but it’s not consistent. Bill Bennett’s Morning in America is a good show but the rest of the lineup is only fair.
Michael Smerconish - the (somewhat) male version of Susan Bray ...
Runs a smutty soft-core T@A morning show; masks as middle-of-the-road TSH but is really a liberal. Lips pressed to Biden’s ass. Would copulate with Obama if he could pry Matthews off his leg.
Smerconish never met a person with skin darker than his own that he didn't slobber over. Charles Barkley, Philly mayor Michael Nutter, Maya no talent Angelou. He thinks they are all wonderful. Oh yeah, and Chris Matthews gives this RINO buttclown tingles up his legs.
I like Mike McConnell who operates out of Cincinnati. He does a show called “The Weekend with Mike McConnell” that I can only listen to for about a half hour as I drive in to work Saturday night. He’s conservative but always argues without screaming at the caller. He does sometimes call them nuts.
Is that on WLW? I think I have WLW on my XM radio (am in Boston)
No, I pick it up over a Des Moines radio station. The signal is not always real strong. Other nights I pick up Mike Reagan over the same station. I have recently been gladly surprised to find out I can pick up a re-broadcast of Mark Levin on Chicago’s WLS (890) while going to work. Dennis Prager comes in on 560 from somewhere.
Oh OK; I checked the WLW site and found he hosts a daily show there (mornings) but does indeed do a weekend show with
100 stations!

He’s apparently syndicated by Premiere, who also do Beck
and Rush
The Des Moines station is at 1040. I live in Wisconsin, and it comes in not so good at times. I've heard the Cincy station (700) at night, and it comes in clearer than Des Moines even though it's much further in distance than Des Moines from me.
