The real problem with Chesapeake Bay is that we haven't had a real tropical storm flush it out for the last 36 years.

If it weren't for this dadgummed Global Warming we'd had some stronger hurricanes in here to do the job like they always did until Richard Nixon resigned.

Now he was the man ~ like Karl Rove ~ had a hurricane machine in the basement and could direct them where they were needed.

I thought Isabelle flushed out the bay pretty good,

No till farming and using chicken crap as fertiliser hasnt helped.You just cant spray thousands of gallons 50 years ago they sprayed to kill grasses and they have never returned. Sewage treatment plants and growth havent helped. There are a lot of reasons for the Bay being in trouble, the lack of hurricanes isnt one of them.
