Oh, BTW the “Krap” wasn’t to indicate that I didn’t believe you, just frustration that you could get it working and I couldn’t.
Yeah, I figured that out. Well I was somewhat surprised. I had gotten into Linux about 6 years ago, and back then, because I liked doing things the hard(er) way, I got into Gentoo Linux. Compiled from the ground up, three systems, and never got them running quite perfectly. They were fast though and usable. Got away from Linux, then decided to see if they had caught up in installation ease. Mandrake didn't fly, but Ubuntu was flawless for me on two machines that even Windows had problems installing on.
Sorry it didn't work out for you! Truth is, I am still using Windows XP for my computing. It works for me.
