I haven’t seen this version, although it has been mentioned in other posts.

Also relevant is Obama’s poem “Pop,” which I think refers to an evening spent with Davis when he was a small boy. It appeared in the Occidental College student paper, so he was unable to hush it up.

I notice that the press has assiduously avoided talking about this poem, although the NY Times did publish it back in May.
