As I recall, in Aldous Huxley’s “After Many a Summer Dies the Swan,” the method was to eat a lot of raw carp gut. You end up, however, smelling bad and not being very sociable.

My hypothesis: Baby boomers don’t want to die because they’re afraid of what comes afterward, and that they’ve been wrong all along about the existence of God.
