I think it happens again as the Ravens make it to the Super Bowl. I don’t think they beat Carolina, but they do get there.

As a Ravens fan, I really had no expectations at the beginning of this season of having a winning season; with a new owner, a new coach and a raw rookie QB, Joe Flaco, who wasn’t even a top draft pick and coming in to fill in for a so so QB to begin with, and an aging and injury ridden defense, a defense that was always historically their strong suit, and little history of anything near a strong offense, live alone any realistic expectations of making the playoffs.

The Ravens have so well so far exceeded my wildest expectations. They made it to the playoffs and they beat Miami today! Whoo Whoo!

I think their chances of making it the Super Bowl are good! I even think they might just win.

In my opinion the Ravens 2000 team was the worst team to ever win a Super Bowl. This year’s Ravens are a much better team.

The 2000 Ravens team was perhaps the worst team in terms of offense but perhaps arguably the best defensive team in NFL history.

That and they had one of the very best kickers in the NFL that year. Hey, touch downs are sexy and dramatic but wining games with field goals is still winning. At the end of the game, the team with the most points wins.

I agree with you that this year’s Ravens are a much more rounded team. Their defense is not the juggernaut it once was but they are still respectable. But this year the Ravens actually have an offence!

I like their chances for going all the way and even if they don’t, they far outweighed all my expectations.
