I’m sorry to report that I am going to drop (for now) one investigation I’ve been working on which hasn’t turned up anything that I would recognize as important. I was digging into Social Work Education & related academic conferences that took place in NYC during 1981-83. I didn’t find enough bread crumbs to indicate whether or not BHO would have been attracted to any of these (events that would be billed as “must see”, or radicals of a celebrity nature) but the “required reading lists” published in syllabi (syllabuses?) for speakers that attend these types of conferences are very creepy (Alinsky, etc...). The sheer number of academic types (and schools, departments, programs) in place today gives me vertigo (the bad kind.)
