In response to a suggestion from another poster on this thread, I listened to a June, 2001 broadcast of the “Art Bell Show” on YouTube last night featuring a caller named “Bugs” who had a voice that is IDENTICAL to Ed’s. He claimed to have shot and killed two bigfoots in 1976 and to have buried the bodies in an area near the Red River not too far from Wellington! Art said that “Bugs” sent him a detailed map locating the burial site. Of course, nothing ever came of the tale.
I would BET THE RENT that “Bugs” is in fact Ed Hale. Ed’s voice is UNMISTAKABLE! Furthermore, “Bugs” was 56 in 2001 as Ed was also.
I’ve been listening to Plains Radio for a couple months now and my initial reaction to Ed was that he was a pretty good ol’ boy, albeit a bit of a rumor monger. But I’m beginning to believe, based on the “Bugs” business as well as Ed’s delaying, audience-seeking tactics on Plains, that what our friend Ed really is is an attention hound and little else. I hope he can bring home the “goods” on the BC but I’m growing more and more skeptical of Mr. Hale by the minute.
I’ve never listened to Ed Hale, know very little about him other than what I read on FR. And I don’t care about him; BUT - I am glad he found and publicized this divorce decree that none here have seen before. It helps unravel the mystery. That alone is good enough for me.
The messenger doesn’t have to be perfect in every way, you know.
I just figured I’d check out Scanian’s other comments since he registered in September, and this and one other are his sole comments. Odd. His other one is copied below:

I’d like to be positive and optimistic about McCain aqnd Palin but we have heard nothing but smear attacks on Sarah since Friday. The attacks appear to be having the desired effect—Obama jumped up by 3 or more points in the daily polls today. We can scream about bias all we want but this country is full of impressionable people who believe what they hear from the drive-bys. I hold out very little hope for this ticket. Hope springs eternal but the facts cannot be ignored.
I’d say seminar/DU/Obama team member.
