Oh, yeah, I used to breed and show Siamese cats, too.

I can easily see one of my kitties deliberately leading a blind person under low branches, into manholes, etc. just for grins.

But then there are nice kitties, too:

This got a laugh out of my children, since they could picture our Siamese mix doing just that.

My big old Siamese male, Ch. Hybrasil Cormac, used to climb up onto the tops of doors in the house and lurk there very quietly. Then he would drop on the heads of unsuspecting passersby.

We had to lock him up when we had company. I think he thought he was a leopard in the forests of Africa.

That can't be a Siamese - her eyes aren't crossed!

Three of my evil creatures - their eyes ARE crossed, but you can't tell because their Radio Shack laser charger is activated . . .

Don't think a Cocker would be a very good seeing-eye dog.

Neither would my wild Field Labs -- unless the blind person wanted to be towed around everywhere like a water skier, and if God forbid the dogs should see a duck . . . .

The guide dog people get their Labs from very sedate, mellow bloodlines . . . NOT my dogs' families.

Thank you for the ping!

Those little guys are absolutely adorable! I sent the article to my little equestrian granddaughter who lives, eats and breathes horses...and will do so at least until she hits puberty. ;o)

Thank you, too, for the email. We don’t have too many stinging thingys out here, but it will come in handy when we venture south.
