Bart is pretty safe but it was New year 2 in the morning partygoers coming back from SF drunk is not a good time to be on BART...
BTW they extended trains running till 3.00am for the partygoers..I might be wrong but i think BART usually stops running around 12.30

I was in the City last summer for a week. It seems the area has gotten less safe than when I lived there in the late 80’s.
The homeless bums are out of control. They are very aggressive; someone needs to take a 2x4 to some of them.

It seems though that some people there have had enough. The comments about what to do about the murders by the illegal immigrants seemed very conservative in nature.

People had enough of the city's liberal, feel good policies.
