Thank you.
I took it down after the election. It was childish, I know, but all I left on my profile was the black background because that's the way I felt......depressed. I put everything back last week. Guess I've gotten over my black mood and am reminded that God is in his Heaven and all will be well, no matter how bleak things look to us here.
Lori, I looked at your page also after I read Dita’s post. It was just wonderful. Speaking of taking everything down, I know just how you felt. I was terribly gloomy about it, still am to some degree. I don’t want to watch the inaugural or hear him speak every day. Nauseates me. He isn’t as smart as he thinks he is. The two things he’s best at is “reading speeches” and “smiling” from ear to ear.
I heard about a recent poll of our Military and they aren’t too thriled over him either. Being President isn’t going to be as easy as he thinks. (Do you know it kills me that Air Force 1 will be at his disposal for the next four years.) Maybe I’ll get over it someday...like when he leaves office...LOL!
I felt the same way post-election. What a bleak, awful night that was, November 4th, I had to pray to get through it. I had also received my pink slip at work that day, what timing, huh?
Anyway, praise God, we do recover. We will persevere, there is no other choice. The heroes honored on your homepage compel us to “pay it forward.”
In other news, watched some of the new TV shows this past week, and “Homeland Security” on Tuesday nights is a good one. I took a peek at the Bachelor, haven’t watched for a few seasons and this doesn’t look like a good one.
